Preparation grinding is a far more common and regular process and is the the most effective way to prepare a concrete substrate for things such as epoxies, tiles, resurfacing and other applications where a clean and even surface is required.
In basic terms mechanically polished concrete is a more high end finish and is for indoors use only. through this means of polishing it is the actual concrete and the stones themselves that shine. There is no topical coating ( clear coat ) that is applied, and therefore the finish will last you a lifetime if cared for and maintained correctly.

Concrete polishing requires multiple steps beginning with preparation of your concrete floor. Existing damage needs to be repaired before your floor is polished. This includes concrete crack repair. Once the floor is prepped, we use progressively finer diamond grinding discs and a special densifying chemical to achieve beautiful results
